The Benefits Of Taking A CCNA Course

By Darrel Jefferson

Consistent advancements in technology and communications means that any individual employed in the industry must stay informed of and familiar with applicable innovations. Attending school and receiving a degree is a great place to start, but once you've graduated, the market and industry are not slowing down or staying in the same place.

Cisco has several levels. The first exam you will take will be the entry level as a CCENT. The next exam you take gets you the CCNA where you get into the Associate level. The professional level is known as the CCNP. Then there is the CCIE Expert level and then lastly the CCA which is more of a Cisco certified Design expert.

You have an hour and a half (90 minutes) to finish the exam. Know just how much time you have to spend on each question. If you spend more or less on a specific question, remember that you will have less or more time on the rest of the exam respectively. Remember that simulation questions tend to take longer to figure out, and that some questions are worth more of your grade than other questions so you will want to take your time for those.

The CCNA program teaches students work with networks, allowing them to install, configure, and operate routed Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs). Additionally students will be able to optimize the efficiency of these networks by reducing bandwidth and reducing the cost of operations. Upon completion of the program a student will be able to improve a network's performance and security, give tech and level one troubleshooting support, and have an intricate knowledge of how to use Cisco switches and routers with LANs and WANs in multiprotocol internetworks.

Unlike other tests you have taken in the past, you cannot change your answer on the CCNA test. Not only is there not enough time but it is not allowed. Every answer is final, so don't rush through it hoping that you can go back and change anything.

You need to have a desire and ability to learn. If you aren't committed, you will not stick with networking technology. There are just too many things that can keep you hung up on the details. This is the reason that so many people just drop out before achieving the Associate level. Make sure that you are not one of them!

It takes hard work. You need to memorize things like binary math and other boring things. You need to be ready to sit down and internalize concepts. While many of these concepts may not be exciting or easy for you to retain, if you put in enough time and effort, you will be able to build on your knowledge and retain information. This is crucial if you are shooting to pass the exams and start building up your portfolio for your future career.

If you really want to internalize the information that will show up on the test, read as many review books as you possibly can and read them more than once. This will give you the upper hand you need while taking the test, and store the information in your long-term memory, rather than forgetting the information a week after you get your certification. Infocenter offers the training and courses you need to prepare to get your Cisco certification in Kuwait.
